Orange Trail at Shawnee Mission Park yesterday after work with my sister. It's only 2.5 miles, but it nearly kicked my ass. 2.5 miles on dirt, rocks and tree roots is waaaay more difficult than doing 10+ miles on a blacktop path. I like adding oatmeal to my smoothies to make them heartier. It's also an easy add if you make it beforehand.
Here's a fun recipe I make now and then:
1/2 cup soft tofu
1/2 cup skim milk
2 tbl agave nectar
2 tbl natural peanut butter
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 banana
2 tbl cocoa powder
It's uber-tasty, but calorific.
A simple healthy one is just the following:
1 cup skim milk
1/2 cup frozen cherries
1 tbl honey
1/2 banana
2 tbl cocoa powder
