So sorry for the loss of your ex-husband. Even though you were divorced, that you were co-parenting so well is certainly a sign you were able to remain on at least somewhat friendly terms and of course you had history together so your mourning is understandable.
Raspberriers at people throwing their unwanted 2 cents in on your living situation. As you said, you're doing what you and your husband feel is best for her, and it sounds like she is doing well. I know its hard to ignore them but hopefully you can tune them out for the most part. All that matters is what you and your family feel about it.
Thanks for your support. It is hard to ignore the "but you are her mom." I had one other mom say "but I thought you would want her now". It is so not about not wanting her. It is incredibly hard not to have her with me. But I have to think about her more than me. Why don't other parents understand that?
