After much nagging from a sis who refuses to visit me here on LJ, I have caved and joined Facebook. Not sure how I feel about that, but I do get left out because everyone except my Dad is on Facebook! We'll see how it goes, and whether I can figure out what the hell's going on. There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of structure to it. In many ways,

Facebook isn't too bad. I just find it very handy for keeping in touch with family and friends, I don't do much of all those mind numbing games and applications.

I think you'd be surprised at what you could make! A simple A-line skirt would be a lot easier than a monkey or elephant.

Oh, pretty new layout! I love it! The most I've ever been able to sew is a pillow! So good for you, you're farther along than I am in that department.

You'll get a job soon, don't worry. Things somehow keep working out for both of us!

Dunno about Facebook for myself. So far only my brother is on Facebook and I talk to him on the phone all the time.

I went to mintyapple for free layouts - make_meabird got her cool new one from there and pointed me in that direction.

Oh I hope so! Things do tend to work out, but it doesn't seem to help that nasty scared-sick-in-the-belly, depressed-in-the-head feeling.

I definitely prefer LJ, but now I get to see what Renee is up to in France, what Ramon is up to in Japan, how Tamsyn's growing, and so on.

I like to keep Facebook and Livejournal as separate... mostly because I actually use LJ, and don't much use Facebook. It's got far too much pointless stuff to it. "What fruit are you?" I can live without knowing. But it's good to keep track of what photos people put up, and that's the only means of contact I have with people I used to work with. And it's good to stalk people you used to know!

I do hate how they have ownership of all the information you put up, and even once you remove photos, they still own them. They sell your info, too, to a third party in America.

I lose track of where everything is. I think I have a Flickr account I never put anything up on, a deviantART account, Facebook, LJ, Twitter (which I use mostly to read other tweets) and Etsy. I'd sort of like to lose the deviantART one because I don't use it any more, but the friend that made me get it wouldn't like it!

Good luck with your applications! You will definitely get something -- you're far to clever to get passed on.
