The main thing that's been on my mind tonight is, to put it broadly, my future. What that boils down to is if I'm going to be able to graduate this summer or not. Well, good thing I was thinking this cause I found a loophole that benefits the unviersity and not me. Back up, ever since Edmonds I've pretty much relied on myself to understand the ( Read more... )

There are many seminar classes that are one credit, that are 400 level and that take only a Friday night and a saturday half-day.

how do I find those? would they just be listed randomly within the majors or in a seperate section?

Just randomly. You could also take a 2 credit library research basics. But some of the depts. that offer these 1-credit seminars are: Conflict and Resolution, (anthro- sometimes), Women Studies.

I would reccomend WS because their seminars are most of the time fun fun fun and the shortest. Last I checked, the had some Interp. violence and Children, journal writing, healing and emotions, organization and gender, paganisms past and present.

You could also set up a Reading and Conference with a professor. Those are usually 451/452 I think...

Thanks's Angie. Those will be perfect. I think I'll look into that to get an idea of what's offered, meet with an advisor to see what they have to say, and probably take on next term.

How's this term going for you? What are you taking or teaching?

hmmm this sounds all too familiar...
i'd reccommend my advisor (laura marsh), but she's 7 months pregnant and so will be out during spring quarter on maternity leave.

yeah, i've heard your stories and i'm jealous ;) I haven't meet any advisors who really advise--let me rephrase that, I've never let them advise me....

is she a general advisor or a major advisor? cause i could go ahead and talk to her now just to make sure I understand everything.

thanks!

she's a CLAS advisor. i think she specializes in prenursing majors, but if you're a liberal arts and studies, you can see her!

I have no idea what CLAS means...but I am a liberal arts (well, English, and it's in that school)

What's her e-mail address so I can set up a meeting? Or do you know her office hours this term?

Thanks, Jessica, for all the information
