Still, when someone calls it a "lifestyle" I see red. I don't care: if someone thinks it's a choice, I loose all respect for them, regardless of whether they're militant homophobes or well-meaning ignoramuses. I'm still mad. It hurts the most when it's someone you used to like.

(Also, and I apologize because this is just me being insanely tired of the Leviticus argument, but she wasn't quoting Leviticus. In fact, the only thing she did say, Bible-wise, was that it "doesn't gel well with scripture".)
Honestly, this is edging into a religious tolerance thing for me, and that's one of my rage-triggers, so I'm going to excuse myself from the conversation at this point.
