Someone needs to convince me that I do not need a Pyrenean Shepherd. Because they are awfully appealing and the only thing I'm hesitant about is that everyone I talk to either says they're the most amazing, smart, high-drive dogs ever and they'd never be without one...or people saying they'd never touch the breed because they often turn out to be

Dude, this dog needs to be mine. ABMC always has potential sport dogs for adoption, and health concerns aren't as much of an issue for them, so my Mal will most likely be a rescue pup. :]

No rescue for the Pyreneans, though.

You know, I've never seen a Pyrenaean before; I thought they'd be bigger! Regardless, they are cute little dudes: I love that first one's crazy eyes.

I think they vary a lot in size; I know someone with a rough-face that isn't much smaller than her Belgian Sheepdog. But they're definitely crazy little dogs!

Yep, that's La! Silvia Trkman's articles on the Pyr shep vs Border Collie is what made me seriously consider them -- they sound like my kind of crazy, hah.
