WOW! Your work is so, so wonderful. I love all of your recent posts. I love the colours and texture in this. I wish I knew how to comment on art in some intellectual way... instead I'll just have to say. Awesome!

haha, man, I'm so not an artist so I have no con-crit. But I really like it, both what you're trying to do and what you've got! The colours are absolutely gorgeous, I love the darkness seeping into the blue. It looks like nighttime and the kind of summer storm that makes a lot of noise but doesn't actually rain.

Well, I suppose in the absence of con-crit, I'll have to make do with the lovely compliments! *g*

I was going for the summer night kind of vibe, so you're my favourite person for noticing it! :) Thank you so much, I'm thrilled that people seem to like my landscapes, I'm always a bit nervous about them, it's not really my strong suit. <33

Thank you, what a lovely comment! <3

Ah yes, the smells of the internet, not one for the faint hearted...I presume this technology would be more useful for food commercials and what not. I really have no idea what they would use it for, sounds impressive though.

OH GOD.

THAT WOULD SPONTANEOUSLY COMBUST THE INTERNET.

I love seeing you play around with traditional media. I do like the color palette and the mood you invoke.

If I had to offer concrit, it would be that the intent of the piece is muddled. Without the post title/tags, I wouldn't necessarily get that it's a desert sky, which is fine if you intended for the piece to be ambiguous, thus allowing the viewer to cull what they want from it. Also, the drips come off too tentative, like feathery brush strokes and not actual paint drips. Again, there's nothing wrong with that, but the difference in technique imbues the painting with a difference in feeling.

Experimenting with traditional media is really fun, I love getting messy and into it, the work feels much more personal.

This piece is definitely more sky than desert, it was partly my intention and partly my total lack of references and proper knowledge of deserts to convey the idea of it without including mesas and sand dunes or cacti, for that matter.

Your point about tentativeness is really helpful, I guess I was being cautious as I am deathly scared of ruing somethinga nd never being able to do it again ( not the greatest fear to have as an artist). I will try out boldness when I next embark on my drippy paint apint voyage!

Thank you for your great feedback, I really appreciate it! <3
