Theodore glanced up from one of the leather armchairs, book in hand, arching an eyebrow at the boy's dramatics.

Ah, yes, the drama queen is home at last.

He flashed his fellow seventh year a small smile, bowing his head, marking his place in his book and sitting up a little straighter.

"Better late then never. Where have you been all this time? The girls had no one to swoon over."

Pansy felt frozen, her jaw unfortunately agape as she stared dumbstruck at Draco over the heads of her group of friends. Her hesitation lasted only a moment before she leapt out of her chair and threw herself at him, arms flung around his waist. He'd always hated it when she was clingy, but she couldn't care less right then. The only thing that seemed important was that he was here. He was back. Merlin, she was so glad he was back....

At the sound of another voice, and a rather annoying remark, Pansy came to her senses and quickly disentangled herself from Draco and smoothed her hands over her green jumper. "Oh, I disagree." Pansy said, arching an eyebrow in Theo's direction. "Just yesterday, Tracey was saying how fanciable Longbottom's gotten, right Tracey?"

Tracey had been trying to read when the blonde "king" decided to tear her concentration. Not only that but no sooner had he entered a blur by the name of Pansy attached herself promptly to his neck. Tracey gave him a simple look with her blue eyes before she dropped back to her book. That was until Pansy's large mouth opened and Tracey looked up moritfied. With her luck that was going to be slipped into conversation as a serious comment and Tracey's choices of men would slowly disappear and her fun would be cut short.

"Piss off, Pansy, and let go of the poor guy, blue is not his color." Tracey told her in a very even tone.

Though her eyes were shooting daggars at her friend, Tracey could care less that She was hugging Malfoy like the cutest stuffed toy. As long as she didn't have to help move the strangled body she was fine.

Of all the reactions, Pansy's pleased Draco the most. He didn't show it, of course, since it wasn't seemly, but it still made him feel quite a bit better. He raised an eyebrow at Theodore over Pansy's shoulder and recovered briefly when she let go of him, returning his green robe to its original impeccable state.

"I thought that was your job, Nott," he said dryly, taking a seat in one of the couches where he could see them all. Ignoring the question about where he'd been, at least for the moment, he gestured for Pansy to sit beside him. With any luck she'd be willing to pet his hair as well as give him information. "Look what you've reduced them to. Longbottom, of all people ( ... )

The Prefect chuckled, giving Draco an amused look.

"My job to attract the stares of the ladies, or to swoon after you? 'Cause you're not really my type, Malfoy," he said, looking the blond over with a smirk.

He flipped his book back open, giving a small shrug at his words, seemingly uninterested, though really he was at the very least bound to be entertained my Malfoy's attics.

"You missed most of it," he said absently, flipping through pages until he came to the right one, "Things are just starting to settle down again."
