Today I had to abort my sewing plans in order to escape the fumes generated by our self-cleaning oven on its furnace setting. I amused myself on the back patio by creating

Too bad we made our weekend plans before Stanley showed up. There's a big reenactment this weekend about an hour and a half drive away, but I found out too late. I thought the muzzleloaders might be shooting at the club today (some of them shoot in Civil War costume), but I was mistaken. Ah, well!
A week later and I could have taken him to the SASS match. Two, and it would have been a bunch of Stormtroopers at the Science Center.
I can certainly teach him to sew! And maybe take him to a museum downtown. How sad is it that I can't think of interesting places in my own backyard!
