Flat Stanley
Today I had to abort my sewing plans in order to escape the fumes generated by our self-cleaning oven on its furnace setting. I amused myself on the back patio by creating paper costume pieces for Flat Stanley, visiting me from Sandersville, GA. My favorite elements are the twill tape on the life preserver and scotch tape sandwiching the safety glasses to form the lenses. As you can see from the photos, Stanley is very safety conscious!
My young friend Logan sent Stanley to visit me as a third-grade class assignment. My instructions are to take Stanley to interesting places in our city and send back photos and comments about his adventures. I'll be mailing him back on Tuesday; any ideas on what else we can do while he's here?
