Measure 58. 2 years to learn English.

I think it's enough.  That's the topic of Oregon's Measure 58 which "prohibits teaching public school students in a language other than English for more than two years".  I am more than a pedestrian expert on Second Language Acquisition, however, what makes me second guess my opinion is that this measure was written by the most self-serving bigoted

You know, it's been decades since anybody's said that a teacher understands something and "I can't go against them". I haven't read the proposal, since I don't deal with ESL in my field very much, but if the teachers are crying foul, then you can be assured there is GOOD REASON. Hope the married life is sweet as cake :)

I think I can trust them. I wouldn't give them a carte blanche.. but when I'm undecided and all I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Married life is sweet, but I am still having trouble coming down off a pattern of stress from my job and remodeling. How are you?
