Just a Quick Question...

I had a session the other day, and set up ProTools 7.1 with a Control|24. When we tried to track, the 192 I/O completely cut out, and we could only track 8 instead of 16 - we had to use the 96 I/O. The producer wasn't happy. Does anybody know what happened to the 192 I/O ( Read more... )

I know that ProTools isn't known for crashes, otherwise it couldn't have become the standard that it is.

nice, but still. my beef is mostly with their "portable" lines. they market these things as being portable, bus powered pro tools rigs. of course, they have problems being bus powered, then you need an external drive that needs its own supply, then the software wont run cause every time a system is updated their fragile little pro tools breaks, not to mention you have to actually lug the damn device around with you to even use pro tools. its like how america's space shuttles are still using computers from 1974, how does this shit still fly?

Hey, this isn't SoundTools anymore. I know there are some issues, but I've never had a problem with it. Besides, this was a problem with the hardware interface. PT was working fine.

So, their software is OK, but now their hardware doesnt work? What is it with these guys? You know, if you ask me, I'll bet the problem is your holophone mic. I'd be glad to take it off your hands for you :)
