I had a session the other day, and set up ProTools 7.1 with a Control|24. When we tried to track, the 192 I/O completely cut out, and we could only track 8 instead of 16 - we had to use the 96 I/O. The producer wasn't happy. Does anybody know what happened to the 192 I/O?
Quick Facts:
Everything was set up correctly in the software.
All the patches were correct.
Mic sources had been checked and re-checked - no problem.
Connections were sound.
I rebooted ProTools and re-opened the session - no change.
We had been getting signal on the pre's and the channels. It just cut out.
I know that ProTools isn't known for crashes, otherwise it couldn't have become the standard that it is. I know I probably did something massively stupid (the producer was an asshole - nothing new, right?), but I have no idea what it was. We were tracking using one of those new '
Holophone H2's', but I don't think it had anything to do with the mic. Any suggestions?
