This is the best gift ever! What a wonderful way to start the year, and yes, that's why I did after I came back from partying last night. I turn on my computer and read and read and read. Obsessed, me? No way!
I loved this epic of doom with a love that goes beyond what mere words can describe :) And now we have Ronon with his wife, working for Vala! Being pirates! And Teyla decided to stay and she's teaching Johen how to fight with the batons and Rodney is made of awesome: live has screwed them up but they aren't broken, just bent. So very perfect! And I loved the line where John admitted to himself that he didn't know if he'd try to kill Ba'al or go down on his knees for him. Poor John! But I love him!
Thanks for this so much! And now I'll try to be patient while I wait for the next part to be posted. It's my new year's resolution. Be patient :)
Happy new year to you, too! Thanks for the lovely present!
Oh, I do love the richness and depth of this AU! But characters are dropping right and left; now I'm worried!
It's nice to see how you worked the Satedans in. I love the various character relationships, how they're similar to the ones in our 'verse and yet shaped by different factors. I have a ridiculous sappy love for Jehan and Mer's quiet little gestures of support towards each other. I must admit that I wish we'd gotten to see a little aftermath following the firefight in which they were both hurt. *is shameless* But I can see why you skipped forward, with all the viewpoints you're juggling. And awww, you can't stop there! I'm looking forward to the next part. :)
I'm going to try to work some of the aftermath of the new trauma into Jehan and Mer's reactions in the next part, so maybe you'll see something of the reactions there. They're both used to being banged around and in danger though; the thing with the Satedans might have been physically painful, but it lacked the emotional aspect of torture, I guess. Didn't hit their raw spots.
YaY! So happy to see a new part to this story. It just hit me today that I had gotten distracted after I saw it posted and forgot to read it until just now.
Still love where it's going and yay for the team being together! I'm dying to see what happens when they meet up with Sam. :)
