Right. So the insomnia still hasn't gone away, but that's good news for anyone who wanted to read the next bit of that damned Highlander AU. Which I'm now calling Shades and Echoes. There's a reason behind it, but don't expect coherency from a woman whose only sleep in the past 36 hours took place on a flight from D.C. to L.A. Apologies to

I'm also having fun picturing what they all would have been wearing (and what Amanda's hair must have looked like!) in 1986. :)

As far as the clothes go... Adam Pierson's probably been a jeans and sweater kind of guy since his inception -- and Amanda was probably tempted by the spandex but eventually decided against it. The Eighties were so *tacky* -- though if anyone could look good in that sort of gear, it would be Amanda. Still, the mental images are great.

Definitely like Joe & Don's emphatic response that Adam *will* train with Duncan -- two anxious Watchers with a fledgling Immie *grin* Wonder if they expect Duncan to teach Adam ethics too?
Good meeting with Darius -- nice insights into their relationship.
Ah, but the nervous Watchers are *nothing* compared to Mother Duncan -- poor Adam won't be able to breathe with Duncan around him. Loved, loved, loved Amanda's reaction to exercising!Adam -- bet she could barely contain her laughter.

I think that Methos is about to find out the downside of being Adam. Coming across as harmless is all well and good -- until people start playing mother hen when they think you're in danger.
And yeah, Amanda's having a little too much fun with the whole situation. I'm sure Methos is already planning some sort of revenge.

Nice little opening salvo there, him not playing Adam off as vulnerable to Amanda's charms.
And I agree with other commenters -- your characterizations are just perfect, down to Methos' take on how Adam would react.
"I was sleeping, actually," Methos snapped, wishing that he could afford to give MacLeod a taste of what he'd actually rousted out of bed.
I don't have words for how much I enjoy this line.

Love the tension between Methos being Methos and Methos being Adam. I really like that Adam is finding ways to push back at Mac that are in character for *both* M & A. I agree that Methos probably thinks of all his long-term personas as real people -- much better to live them seamlessly and without doing things that make people wonder.
Amanda is having Way Too Much Fun, isn't she?
How *is* M going to handle the whole Watcher thing? Really looking forward to that.

Glad the juxtaposition between Methos and Adam is working for you. It's a tricky line to walk.
And yes, Amanda is having way too much fun. She really should remember who she's laughing at...
