Alex paused in the doorway, looking around the room. Something was wrong. Her things weren't there. In fact, there was no sign of Jay at all. The guilt that washed over him was intense as Alex began to wonder if this was his fault, for the way he had treated her and Sean. The last time he had seen them, it had ended badly because he had acted like an idiot.
It was his fault.
He walked into the room, taking a seat on the end of Sean's bed, silently praying that Jay hadn't done anything stupid, that she hadn't thrown herself off of a building. He could only imagine what his other self had said or tried with her, and none of it was good.
