His time spent with Amara had certainly brightened his mood a bit, but the inevitable ending where he was forced to be locked up again nearly destroyed it. Sitting there in that stupid freezer, he once more found himself thinking of home--of the people he may never see again. It certainly hadn't been a perfect world, but it had been home, and deep down he was willing to sell his soul here if it meant getting back there somehow.
But he was starting to think he never would get back.
With his shoulder injured--but cleaned and bandaged thanks to Amara's attentions--he couldn't work out like he normally would. A superficial injury was easy to do push-ups with, but the Wolverine had made it worse than that, and Alex didn't dare aggravate it lest he be given a chance to escape and need to use it. So instead he sat there, one arm laid out with his palm facing up, controlled lines of plasma dancing from his fingertips, casting quite the light show.
