Wes had actually called Lilah and suggested that they do some shopping for Max for the trip. With everything booked and set in stone, they needed to get him some things for the cruise. Of course, what went unmentioned, but Lilah knew that Wes would need some things as well. Since he couldn’t swim, she knew that he didn’t have any sort of swim trunks. So, she knew that she would have to force him to purchase them. Plus, any reason is a good reason to buy a new bikini for Lilah ( ... )

The former cheerleader was about the close the door on Lilah's nose - and she was pretty sure the lawyer had a nose job done cause the thing was totally too straight looking! - because while she had asked the question? It was totally and purely rhetorical. Yeah, Cordelia Chase knew big words! So what! She had totally *aced* her SAT scores thanks ( ... )

While Cordelia might not have gaped at her, Lilah knew that she had gotten to the other woman. It was actually quite amusing to read the subtle ways that her face registered the fact that Lilah had completely caught her off guard. She wondered how often that she could pull that off, if she was going to make faces like she was at Lilah. Really, Cordelia was very easy to read. That might be why she never could act. Anything she was thinking could easily be read on her face, whether she tried to hide it or not ( ... )

"No, cause you're not funny," Cordelia mumbled as she rolled her eyes, "never were." Gah! What she wouldn't give to just smack that smug self-assured totally-no-place-to-be-there serene *smile* off Lilah's face. It really had no place to be there just like Lilah had no place to be knocking on their door, let alone soiling their drive! Who did this bitch think she was ( ... )

Lilah couldn’t help but notice the look of pride and love that Wes had on his face when he looked at Max. If she ever had a kid, would she look at him or her like that? Well, she was getting to the point where she probably was closing in on that time where she couldn’t have kids anymore. She really wasn’t sure exactly when that happened. She never believed in such a thing as a ‘ticking biological clock’ until she started seeing Max on a semi-regular basis ( ... )

"Lellow! Lellow! Lellow!" Max squealed, making Wesley smile painfully at one of the sales women looking at the boy disapprovingly. No doubt the manager who would be far more at home at an actual ladies store. Would this have been the usual children's store Wesley would be less worried about the noise his son was producing ( ... )

Lilah could obviously give a damn if anyone thought that Max was being a little loud. It was a damn shop for kids, for gods' sake. Did they expect children to be well behaved, considering the tiny clothing they carried in here? Children that little tended to get easily excited. Besides, Lilah could buy these people off easily if they got too fussy. That would put a sock in their mouthss quick if they said anything ( ... )

Sarcasm was lost on this woman. Not surprising, most Americans, Wesley had found, didn't seem to grasp his sarcasm. It made him appreciate those afternoon tea's with Giles even more, were they'd sit around and talk about old teachers they had both known. It was actually mocking them, but one wouldn't know it if one didn't get sarcasm ( ... )

"Then I'm sure that this place is fantastic," Lilah said, more to placate Wes than anything else. It was sad, and maybe it spoke for something that Lilah had a blase attitude toward most things in life, but most food tasted similar to her, anyway. One quality of food was about as good as another for Lilah. She had her favorite foods and all, but, otherwise, as long as it wasn't rotten, Lilah didn't care for quality. Expensive food tasted the same as cheap food to her ( ... )

An eyebrow was raised when Lilah ordered the same as he did. The *reason* as to why she did so even got her an amused look. It was a fact that Wesley wasn't well known for his culinary knowledge. One would assume so, but his mother had only taught him the basics. Since, obviously, he was supposed to have become the greatest Watcher in History, so why would he need to know fine wining and dining ( ... )

"I think you should have read the pamphlet better," Lilah said with a smirk. Apparently she could have booked him on a cruise to Mars and he wouldn't have noticed at the time, it seemed. That was definitely amusing to her right now. Still, might as well actually explain what they could do while they were on the boat. "Technically, if you want to sit in the sun by the pool the entire day, that's possible, although, after about two days, you'll get bored of that, and probably sunburned." Like the rest of his friends, he was pale as a ghost, due to the late nights ( ... )

"Yes well..." Wesley murmured, focusing needlessly on feeding Max rather then the fact that he hadn't read the damn pamphlets. He'd been busy! What with there being two less Watcher but an increasing amount of Slayers that kept coming from god only knew where. At the moment it were really just Giles and Wesley himself who had all the Slayers to take care of. Thank god that Faith and Buffy could train those girls as well. Not to mention Spike, Angel or Gunn ( ... )
