Happy Birthday!

The pudding sounds very interesting and like something I might like to try with my reenactment group. Have you ever made it over an open fire? (I'm wondering what to substitute for tinfoil to cover the bowl, or if it would be better to boil in a bag when you're not on a modern stove?)

I'd go with a bag cover, or if you can put a plate over the top, which is what my grandmother used to do.

Thank you for the recipes. I'm so glad you are posting again, I've missed the awesome updates.

I also would like to know how to do this over a fire.

Same deal - I'd do it in deep dutch oven, and I think a plate (ceramic or metal) over the bowl will probably work the best.
