Books!

Sep 26, 2012 21:58

We went to a lovely party at pinkleader and her inestimable husband's house, to say goodbye to kass_rants and Bob, as they get ready to start the next stage of their life in St. Croix.  It was delightful meeting the greyhounds for the first time, and we're going to miss you guys!  Of course, I still have plans for new patterns.

Thanks to Theo and Roland for hosting us ( Read more... )

We're putting new flooring in the room that has been designated as our library. The challenge is that we have lots of free-standing shelves--more than the space could accommodate and be useful beyond merely acting as a book repository.... I may have to use LEGO to figure out how to arrange all the furniture.

I really like look of your library.

Any blog post that starts with Books and an exclamation point is good!

I need something like this--if I don't stop acquiring books I'll have to resort to creative stacking...

What a beautiful library! I love the red and white color combination and the furniture.

OT: Heart-shaped coif pattern justmejill October 6 2012, 02:08:54 UTC
I saw the photo of the heart-shaped coif in your gallery, and I'd like to make one. How is the coif shaped? I know how to wire the edge, but not sure what shape to cut the front edge of the coif to get it into that nice heart shape once the edge is wired.

Many thanks in advance!

It's shaped like the regular one, but with a slightly pointier front. The cheek curves create all the roundness you need on the sides, but if you want the point to come down further in front, just make it longer and with a sharper point. Otherwise, it's just like a regular coif - drawstring at the back, seam along the top, etc.
