Sorry - I've been recovering from Pennsic, and then getting new teeth put in, and recovering from that.  The three crowns on the left side are now set in with temporary glue, just to make sure that the teeth underneath two of them aren't so nerve-damaged that they need root canals.  Once I decide whether they're too

I do not understand the no effort at all folks either. Why are they here? Someone can get drunk at home or at a regular campsite. No need to go to Pennsic to do it.

Thank you again for inspiring me. And thank you to all the people and camps that are trying to raise the bar of authenticity, even if the upgrade that year is just using a pewter mug instead of a Coke can or a wooden folding chair instead of a poly-plastic sports chair. Because I am one of those people who feels like I've been tossed back in time when I look at the campsites in the early morning fog and can't see anything mundane.

My sister Lyonnete and my hubby dreamed up a game for next year: Good Garb Bingo. Much more fun to revel in the -good- :)

I did have someone tell me that they had a newcomer interested in the SCA, but she showed her pictures of me and I intimidated her with my clothes into not joining. Which... well, hurt. I wasn't dressing up to intimidate... heck, my clothes in general aren't very fancy. Anyway, it made me sad.

Vair and Ermine *sigh* They look so good it -almost- makes me want to get off my duff and spruce up our camp.... almost. It's just... like... work! at least we can appreciate the view :)
