One of the things I am a-feared of in winter happened this morning - I slipped on invisible ice (I was looking at the ground, and it was identical to everything else!) and hit my hands.  Fortunately, I twisted, and took most of the weight on my hip (which is why I'm able to type this)*, but I gave both hands a right smack.

So, no smart clever post ( Read more... )

I'm so sorry, I hope you feel better soon......I guess there's no consolation in the fact that you at least hit the Ice as hard as it hit you?

When Isaac was less then a month old I slipped on black ice while holding him as I stepped off of a curb, since I was too afraid to let go of him at all, I just went straight onto my back (which is my ouchie place) right on the edge of the curb, I thought I was gonna die.

Aaaaah! Time stops as you lie there, with nothing in your head but "Ow. Owowowowowowowowowwwwwwwww".

I'm totally out of it, but it was less painful to go and sit in my office than turn around and go home. I have heat patches all over my arms and my shoulders are killing me from the twisting and tensing. :(

Ouch! I hates the evil black ice, I do. After all, it's why I have a plate and screws in my ankle.

Feel better soon. Ice and sweet drugs!

Meep. Black ice is evil. I hope the hurt goes away soon. A few years back I fell over three times in a row on the ice, on my knees every time. Much owies.
