... because I went shopping in my lunchhour yesterday and returned to work with a red and white polka dot halterneck top and some white trousers. White! Ask me 2 months' ago and I would have sworn to you that I would never wear such an impractical garment but they are very in here at the moment so I tried a pair on out of curiosity and they are ( Read more... )

Yes, well... ...I didn't mean to fall in love with those lovely brown shoes I saw the other day - in fact I didn't even mean to go into the shop - let alone hunting them down on the internet when it turned out the store didn't have my size... :)

Ah, you are a shopper after my own heart :). Did you get your shoes in the end? What are they like?

I love shoe shopping, even when it's not for me :D

It's funny you should mention this, because just the other day I was saying how completely normal it is to see white bottoms of any sort here (more specifically I was mentioning that when I stepped off the plane I knew I was home because I saw a man in white trousers and it was not out of the ordinary).

:D

It would be pretty rare to see a man in white trousers here. Although I did see one this morning, come to think of it. We just don't have the sunshine for it, really.

The knitted squid nearly made me spit tea all over my computer :D

As for the choir, we're not pro but the majority of the singers are graduates or undergraduates of the London music colleges. Certainly keeps those of us who aren't on our toes. The piece itself isn't *too* difficult in the grand scheme of things in terms of notes but it does require some attention to express its passion properly - it's quite easy to give a mediocre performance of this work, if you know what I mean. As for what else is on the CD, at the moment it's just the Requiem, but there is a recording of Mozart's Mass in C Minor that we did in the same gig although I don't have a copy yet. I may upload a few tracks when I get one, if it's any good.

Your choir tracks were incredible; I could hardly believe what I was hearing. I was like, I know one of those people! How cool!

I am intensely jealous of your new clothes. They sound truly fantastic! Maybe some of your shopping mojo will rub off on me in my search for new shoes!

I'm so glad you enjoyed them, Katie :)

I'm sending you good shoe shopping vibes. I still can't believe that the asshat that broke into your car stole your shoes. Grrr :/
