Save this shop

Hey local people!

I just talked with the owner of the Kitchen Port (she's doing a knife sharpening fundraiser for the Humane Society) and she told me that they're not doing so hot business-wise and if they don't do well this Xmas season, that they're gonna have to close.

So now's your chance!  It's a great little shop and it's been around forever ( Read more... )

local, work

Is that the store that used to be in Kerrytown? I thought they HAD closed. Now it turns out that they are even closer to me?!? Shame on me for not knowing this.

Yep, they used to be in Kerrytown. The overlords that own the Kerrytown shops basically drove them out with exorbitant rent. Bastards.

I was going to ask why they left Kerrytown, but that makes sense. The Kerrytown overlords ARE evil.

Website? Are they close to Resk? If so, I may have to go when I'm up there in November.

Sadly, no website! I tried to find it, then I just called them to get the URL and they told me no, they are dinosaurs, and they have no website. But yes, very close to both Resk and to me. And my mom lives upstairs!

I love kitchenport. That they might close will certainly make my wife and I quite sad. She has several items from there that we haven't been able to find anywhere else. We'll have to make a stop in there next time we're out AA way.
