"You look the same," said a booming voice from the other end of the hallway. Armando Munoz of this world was not even close to the Darwin of Alex's world but once they had been friends.

The security measures put on the mansion didn't effect him but also, he rarely had a reason to attack his former residence. He had a loose allegiance to the Shadowking but that was mainly for the fun of it. "I expected you to look smaller."

He vaguely recognized something in the voice that made him turn, pulling the cigarette from his mouth as it fell open in surprise. "Armando?" he whispered in disbelief. "Is that you?" He looked so different, dark and almost dangerous two things that Alex had never associated with Darwin.

A small smile pulled at his lips before it faded. "Darwin. Armando Munoz is a name I haven't been called in quite sometime," he said as he stepped forward. "I've come to see the imposter. Perhaps we can talk without you trying to kill me as this world's Havok is prone to trying."

"I'm not trying to be an impostor," he assured the other mutant, "I'm just sort of stuck here for now." Which was the short story really, the longer involving that tiny detail about carrying a gateway to universes in his mind.

"Darwin," he corrected, looking at his friend with sad eyes, "we don't get along here?" So it was a world where he fucked Ben, impregnated and shared a bed with Lorna, whipped Amara for fun behind Lorna's back, was an asshole to Sean, and hated Darwin? God, this really was the worst of all worlds, wasn't it?
