Selen spent some time with his children and Tormin playing, but soon the children wanted to go to the place where Ridley and his people grew plants. ( Selen went along and arrived to find Gabriel and Katie there, harvesting. )

Ian had been baking bread all day, he was literally covered in flour. But his spirits of having some of the science staff drop by and offer their help without being forced to, was lifted somewhat.

But when he spotted Selen, Gabriel and what seemed to be a whole tribe of children, he grinned widely.

"I see my fanclub has arrived!" He gestured with open arms, greeting everyone and waving them into the kitchen area, "Be careful kids, there are sharp knives laying around, and oh!"

He caught the small child before the kid was able to plaster itself against one of the glass ovens to see what was inside, "Hot, kid. You don't wanna go near that now. It'll burn you."

He steered the child back toward Selen an rested his hands on his hips.

"So what have you all brought to me today?"

Selen could see Gabriel start to answer, but then Tormin spoke instead. "We brought bean pods! Green and yellow and pink and purple ( ... )

Chuck yawned and looked around him. He remembered that his lovers had left. Calvin would probably be in the lab being tortured by Rodney and Traan had gone on to the mainland.

After getting up and getting dressed Chuck wondered what to do with himself. He vaugely remembered someone saying that the loosers in the snowball fight would be working in the kitchens. He figured that he might as well go there, especially as Carson hadn't cleared him for duty. At least this would be something to do.

As he got to the kitchen he heard voices and looking in he saw Selen, Gabriel and the children. The place smelt of bread dough. Everyone was smiling. At least for a moment. Suddenly the smile slipped from Selens face. Bad memories of the past no doubt.

Walking up to the group he said, "Hi. I have nothing to do right now. Is there anything I can do to give you guys a hand?"

Selen gave Chuck a smile. "We have just now arrived ourselves and are awaiting instructions from Ian."
