While I'm sure this would be a great experience, I may have to pass on it. Though I do have to applaud you on your use of acronyms. It was all I could do to keep from giggling as I read it.

Major, I should be very interested in further study and exploration. I may be able to pass the firearms qualifications before then and I'm willing to attend the OMFG classes, if you think it's necessary. The description, however, sounds rather more basic than I would find useful.

Hah! I'll admit to having a bit more experience with leopards, cheetahs, and crocodiles than bobcats (and don't ask me about rhinos charging, because that sight's enough to make a grown man scream like a girl (and, no, it wasn't me because I was only twelve at the time and didn't qualify as a grown man)), but I did have a camping buddy tie our food too low and had to hike out of the wilderness on a couple of potatoes and a bit of coffee the grizzly managed not to ruin.

Major, Doctor Belic has a large project coming to fruition, so to speak, and will be unable to continue on the Mainland mission. In light of the botanical wealth in need of exploring, I would like not only myself but Dr. Cisneros included in further explorations.

Will you need a linguist to go with you to the mainland for translation duties?
Also, O.M.F.G. sounds apt for the training course for the science team.

I'm sure they'd be happy to have you along, although I'm not sure there's much to translate. And it is, isn't it?

I'm guessing the exploration team didn't find any physical notes left behind, whether on computer or otherwise?

From what I understand, there were some partially overgrown blast-damaged ruins. I'll have them send you the pictures they took.

OMFG is not required, and is mostly aimed at people who think camping involves an RV and that a bobcat is just a pretty cat.
