Why are there only 13 episodes of Kitchen Confidential? I mean, it has its flaws as a show, but I kind of adore it anyway. It's just, they're kind of all ridiculously adorable and they love each other so much, and show it by snarking and teasing and antagonizing and saving the hell out of each other when they're in distress. ♥
Plus, how often do I get to say that an Asian character is my favorite? Basically never, in part because there often isn't one, and even when they exist, they are often outshone. But Teddy got his own episode! And he's so freaking smart and snarky and brilliant and full of actual personality! And damn, I could ship him with everyone. Although, I admit, I could totally ship them all with each other in a huge, messy, and yet somehow comfortable tangle. Yes, all the women, too, even the annoying ones, as they are generally devious and endearing as well. *flail*
Teddy (John Cho from the Harold and Kumar movies)! I love you! And I think you should have lots and lots of sex with Seth (Nicholas Brendon aka Xander of Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Jack and maybe even Steven and/or Jim (Sweets from Bones!). Except Jack and Steven should also be getting it on, and I would be totally okay with Jim doing something with Jack's mouth besides staring at it all the time. Or Becky could've had an exceedingly hot threesome with Jack and Steven. Or Tanya with Jim and Seth. Or, god, Becky and Mimi.
For my own reference, if forced (thanks, Mimi, for asking the question in episode 1.10), Steven would do Jack "for political reasons," Seth chooses Steven because he's been to boarding school "and I think he'd be sensitive," Mimi matter-of-factly tosses out "Jack" for Jim. And later Cameron chooses Seth (who got upset when no one chose him -- incidentally, 2 of the random nameless others chose Enzo, who was on fish duty that night -- maybe a stand-in for Teddy?), which is utterly sweet. It's just too bad Jack doesn't actually offer his opinion, and neither Teddy nor Ramon was in the kitchen at the time.
But seriously, this cast is so hot. And so insane! And just. Just! I love them so much!
