So much relief that after the week from Hell, which included being stuck in my apartment all day on a stay inside order, we caught one of the two guys and took him alive. It's not the end of this by far but you can just feel the entire city exhale.
And we all need two things right now: A drink and a good night's sleep. -
FYI
I'm safe, I was about 20 miles away from the bombs going off in Boston and while I'm definitely in shock because of it I'm physically okay. Emotionally is another story but we can deal with that. No one I know was involved either ( Read more... ) -

So today at work we had someone call in who didn't like the answer that I gave her so she asked to speak to someone "with more seniority."

I'd been driving home on Monday when I noticed that when I got over 2k rpm I could hear a "chirping" sound, at which point I noticed the low coolant light was on. The theme lately seems to be doing things I've been meaning to do but haven't had the time/money/motivation/whatever to do. Besides getting my ears repierced two weeks ago (with only a minor panic attack on my part, which is one reason I picked the place I picked since the guy who did it is a trained EMT). So finally got my car tire replaced yesterday. Wound up costing me $110 including the labor. Ah well. I'll get about 10 times that back when my tax refund goes through in a few weeks ( Read more... ) -

Somehow managed to get a flat tire this morning.
