Well, here's a surprising turn of events...

Feb 12, 2010 13:26

I am no longer employed.  No benefits forthcoming.  Just no longer employed.

I feel strangely buoyant.  Perhaps this is shock or perhaps this is relief.  I really can't tell.

Oh Athena! If there is anything, anything at all that I can do, please let me know. {{{Hugs}}}

I will, Lindita. I know you mean it so if there is anything I will certainly let you know.

This morning was bizarre and terrifying. I literally fled the place with nothing but my backpack.

God, the end things can come to sometimes.

Athena

I certainly wish we lived closer, so at least I could bring over a casserole or hug you tight.

I can feel them both, I truly can.

How's the work situation in Washington State?

I'm so sorry to hear that.

Oh, so am I. With my health issues and no benefits effective today...

Anyway...there's nothing to be done now. My *career* with the Court is over. I haven't a dime to my name and absolutely no family to fall back on.

I'll have my hands full just trying to figure out medications and groceries. And supplies for my family of cats.

*sigh* I have not made a very good life for myself. I truly haven't.

Thank you for your support. I truly appreciate you taking time to leave words of comfort.

Con amor,

Athena

I hope AZ unemployment can help you out.

I will not qualify for unemployment. I was forced to resign.

Besides. Arizona has no money. Arizona needs no money!

No benefits of any kind, but I will apply for Welfare right away, if for nothing than my 15 medications.

It sounds like this was unexpected. I can really sympathize. In September I'll have been out of work for two years. They say the economy is picking up, but you couldn't prove it by me.

Oh, that's terrible. Two years? I hope I find something or several somethings. I don't care how the income happens, just that it does happen.

Best of luck to you in the job search.

Athena

Oh, hon, I'm so sorry. What a horrible thing. I hope you find something else, and quickly. I wish I knew something to suggest, but I've been away from AZ too long. *hugs*

Thank you! Me, too. Or several somethings that scrabble together to make a just-as-good.

My mind is open...

Athena
