Can hardly wait to read more Ibun/Ants of Heaven/Blast, but yes, Minekura must look after herself.

I've had reservations about Hetalia, too, probably because historical revisionism is a big squik. Not so much so when it's clearly lighthearted, but some things are a no-go for me. I like jedishampoo's stories in the series though.

To be fair, the daughter asks almost everyone her age if they watch anime, not just Asians.

Yes, and yes!

I think part of the reason I'm more inclined to read Hetalia is because I know Jedi writes for this fandom. xD And I do love her writing. So have you read her fic without knowing the canon, or did you read Hetalia after all?

LOL! You have to find fellow fangirls somehow! I'm always shocked when I find anime fans amongst my friends. But there are actually a few of them! They don't even watch the ones I do, but it feels like they're kindred somehow. xD

I read jedishampoo's stories, but I haven't read Hetalia. I started but snagged something confusing, either in the character structures or plot elements, and didn't manage to work past it. It was a bit like when I started reading Katekyo Hitman Reborn and couldn't work past the irritating cow character until somebody mentioned that bishies were beckoning at about chapter 90. Once irritated, I need powerful incentives to continue.

Hahaha! KHR was another one I just could not get into it. I toughed it out for actually quite a bit, but I never started liking it. None of the characters were very interesting to me, and ultimately I got really bored with the whole shounen trope of training montages followed by long drawn out battles with enemies. Not to say that any of my previous fandoms had amazing stories either, but KHR was missing something for me. Hm...

So yes, I know exactly what you mean about powerful incentives. I get bored really easily with new fandoms, I find.

Oh, interesting that you found the movie version so much better! It's usually the other way around. I'd put the book on my to read list after seeing the movie, but maybe it can wait a while. The CGI was amazing!

I think it's hard to find the right combination of texture, effectiveness, and smell. Sometimes I think these lotions have *too* much smell. Which brands have you found to be the best for you?

Cool, thanks for the recs. I used to use Cetaphil as well! I've been trying to find a paraben and fragrance free equivalent for a while but haven't been successful.

Hm...can't really say I've tried any lilac scents. Good luck in finding it!

The Professor Layton games are FABULOUS and are the only games that I have ever been able to finish. Although, they don't have great representation of female characters, which irks me quite a bit, but I still love the games.

YAY! I'm relieved to hear that. I'm not a gamer at all, so it's nice to know that these can actually be finished. Bummer about the females, though.

WOW! You bought a Nintendo DS lite! I love Nintendo DS! And recently I bought Professor Layton too! It is very good and also difficult in some moments! I'm sure you'll like it!^_^

Ants of Heaven is very interesting even if I've to admit that I prefer BLAST and Ibun. Lately I miss an official BLAST chapter so much! ç_ç

About Space Brothers, I don't watch anime but I'm reading manga and I love it so much! I've bought 16 volumes (in Italian) and I know that some days ago was released the 17th! I'm curious to know what will happen!

Awesome! Are there other games you would recommend? :)

Ah yeah, the Blast chapter left off at such a cliffhanger, too. I'm sure she won't disappoint with the upcoming chapter though!

Oh wow! Yeah, I considered looking at the manga as well. I need to concentrate harder to follow a manga, so it takes more initiative on my part. ;)

I like TDKR. But yeah, plot holes. It was like they went with WHOOOOO DRAMA and didn't really stop to wonder whether any of these things connect. ^__~

I've seen bits of Hetalia. It was kinda cute and funny, at least in the beginning, but...I dunno, I don't think there's really a way to make that work without being offensive in some ways, and I lost patience with the scanlation's tinyfonts when they first came out. lol Patient, I am not.

And yeah, gotta agree with you on re: things Asians hate being mood-dependent. XD I've been through quite a few of those, but my reaction differs based on the day of.

Hahaha! Very true. I have to admit, the impossible stories and plot holes didn't really sink in until after it ended.

And I'm not patient either, so this doesn't bode well.. I got the official volume, so I'll give it a good faith effort.

xD Yup.
