Feed Your Head: We are made of Starstuff.

In a moment of magnificent serendipity, I just turned on the TV to catch the very beginning of the very first episode of COSMOS, which I have not seen since it originally aired.

Preach it, Unca Carl.

tv, feed your head, science, space

That's actually the first thing that popped into my head, too. :)

What channel was this on?!

Good heavens, we need his voice on TV these days. No matter what sort of fun could be made of his vocal quirks, nobody could banish the Demons of Ignorance back to their own plane quite like he could.

He was a good part of what got me started as a scientist.

If ever there was a voice that could make you feel both humbled and empowered at the same time, and awestruck while we're at it, it was his. I don't know that I've ever actually managed to see all of Cosmos though... Bits of it here and there, but never all of it, and never in order. Hmm. I should fix that someday.
