I've missed too many of these, I fear. For the fortieth anniversary of man's first landing on another celestial body, I started planning more than a week ago. Rather than lean on my usual hymn to the Apollo astronauts, I was going to post footage of Walter Cronkite, and his reaction to the landing. On Thursday, the avuncular delivery of The Most

Yep, it really was one hell of a moment in history. I wasn't there to see it myself at the time, but my parents were at least. ^^ I know they certainly enjoyed it.

Here's hoping we all get to view such things again in the near future, when the new program returns there once more.

Instead, though, I'll just have to hope for more landings. In more places.
