I smell incompetence

So, four weeks after I last did, I finally got myself to call Conifers CMHT again as I've still heard absolutely nothing from anyone since that phone call, and that phone call was the only contact I had at all about my case since the last appointment with my psychiatrist on 29th October 2009 ( Read more... )

Not getting a promised copy of a letter *would* smell of incompetence IMO. However, in my experience, you don't actually hear anything more about a referral until an appointment becomes available, and it can be a very long wait.

I would suggest you call Broadhurst yourself and ask whether they have received a referral for you - they don't seem to mind you doing that (here, at least).

Complaint: Via your local Mental Health Trust - which is I think Hampshire Partnership NHS Trust.

I suggest talking to PALS first, they are supposed to be on your side ... can't speak for the truth of that down there, but up here they're usually reasonably good, if a little busy.

Edit: In fact, there's no reason why you shouldn't talk to PALS now and see if they can sort out some of this mess.
