Harry cracked a smile, adjusting the small bag of clothing he'd brought from home on his shoulder. He knew he looked like shit, but at least he was smiling.

"Hey."

Bart's grin faded almost immediately as his expression gave way to concern. Harry looked - like he'd been crying. "Harry! What - what happened? I thought you were still in Bermuda! Did something happen? Is Persephone okay? Is Mr. Snape okay? Is Mr. Black okay? Harry?" Bart fluttered, then disappeared into the kitchen.

Harry blinked and lowered his bag to the ground. He wasn't sure how long Bart would remain out of his sight, but it didn't really matter. "We were in Bermuda. We got back a few days ago." Did his voice just crack? God, please don't have it sound cracked.

Bart came back and pushed Harry towards the futon-couch, then pressed a mug of hot chocolate into his hand. He fluttered around the apartment, ostentatiously tidying, as he waited for Harry to tell him what was the matter, and what Bart could do about it.

His mouth tasted sharply of iron, and he realized he'd just bitten his lip quite ferociously. He hoped Mr. Snape was alright, otherwise -

"Could you stand still for a second?" Harry asked, reaching out for Bart as the other boy moved past. He wanted to talk about it, now that the intial hiccup of getting the story out to someone was over. He got a willing ear from Remus, now he just needed a friend to vent at.
