Lorelei tilted her face up as it started to snow, a smile spread across her face. She fished her cellphone out of her pocket and dialed one on speed dial.

"It's a sign, an omen and not the kind with the creepy little kid. It's snowing!"

She paused and listened to the person on the other end of the phone.

"Yes I got here, no my landlord isn't anything like Norman. In fact I haven't seen her yet...I'm pretty sure she's a she and not someone dressed like his mother. It's a cute house. It's got a room for you. So how is everything?"

She got up from the bench and walked down the sidewalk as she listened. She had coffee in one hand, Paul Anka's leash in the other and the phone anchored between her shoulder and her cheek.

"Yes, it's exactly like we thought it would be. There's Mounties everywhere in fact...clip clop clip clop...one of them just walked past. He said eh and saluted me," Lorelei rambled as she walked.

Oz was in his own mindset. Tonight was a full moon and he'd just finished meditation when he'd noticed the snowfall outside. While a few hours before the wolf had been itching to get out due to the moon cycle, now he was completely calm, almost too muchly so if it were possible.

In the back of his mind, he heard the chattering, but didn't really process it as he walked along the sidewalk. When he tripped over the long leash of a dog and fell into the snow, yeah... then he processed it.

He slowly got back to his feet and looked to the woman and down to the dog that was now hiding behind her... basic instinct. The wolf was more dominant. He knelt back down and held a hand out to the dog, letting it smell him before scratching at his ears. Soon the dog was licking his face and finally Oz stood back up and nodded at the woman still holding a phone to her ear. "My bad." He said simply and started to walk away.

"oh God, Rory, I have to go I just ran over a man," Lorelei said.

Pause.

"No, not in the jeep. I'm walking."

There was a pause.

"No, I think those are for beaches."

Another pause.

"Yes, I'll ask him," she said and hung up then turned around to catch up with the guy she'd almost run over. "Wait, hey, sorry. I was talking to my daughter and totally not paying attention."

Oz stopped and turned to look at the woman. "I wasn't much with the attention either. No appology needed." He said calmly, then pulled one hand out of his coat pocket to hold it out to her. "Oz."
