Finally, Adama had managed to locate the clinic. And not before long, either. He stepped slowly through the doors, supporting Laura on one side, and Moira on the other. "This looks like it," he said. "Now let's see about getting you two some help."

Bill looked a mess, with his suit covered in dust and his tie askew - but that was nothing compared with the condition of the two ladies he was supporting.

Moira was about to protest, but lacked the energy and merely nodded. She was this close to passing out.

There was an unused gurney near the x-ray machine, so Margaret helped Moira on to it. "Shouldn't be too long," she said, "and then we'll know what's going on in there."

She switched the machine on, and watched as it passed over Moira's body.

Once it was done, she quickly pulled out the film and held it up to the light. Margaret shook her head. "Not good," she said. "Not good at all."

Moira raised an eyebrow. "What's not good? The ribs are broken..." she managed.

"Not just the ribs," she said. "There's also the knee, and the ankle, and there might be some internal bleeding, though that's not quite clear from the x-ray." She sighed. "I wish I had better news for you."

Moira sighed. Even sighing hurt.

"The ribs were the most painful. What do we do now?" Moira asked, ignorant of the ways of non-magickal healers.

"Now?" she said. "We get you into surgery." She paused. "This is where the surgeons come in, as I don't think I should be operating on you myself."

"Pierce! Winchester!" she called out. "We got wounded over here!"

"Surgery?" Moira's voice broke as she stared wide-eyed at Moira. She didn't like the idea of someone cutting into her. If she were just able to heal herself. She could heal anyone in this room were she well. And she had to be cut OPEN?

"Well, how else did you think those fractures were going to get fixed?" Margaret asked. "Not to mention that bleeding. But don't worry," she reassured Moira. "Hawkeye and Charles are some of the best I know, so you'll be in very good hands."

Though at the moment it seemed like those hands had more than enough to work with.

"Magick?" the girl replied, half in jest, half seriously with a sheepish smile on her face.

Moira had noticed how busy everyone else was. "Are you certain that there's time for me? Everyone else seems a lot worse off..."

"Magic." Margaret blinked. "As in, guys with pointy hats and wands and rabbits."

"And you have fractures, Moira. I think broken bones are a pretty good reason for us to make time for you. " She paused. "I'm going to give you a small transfusion while we're waiting - might help with the pain, or at least, the blood loss. Do you have any idea what your blood group is?"

"We will make time," Charles said as he stepped away from Willow and Clarice. "Margaret, the two women over there need some help with the X-Ray, if you wouldn't mind." He spoke quickly, seeing as more and more people were showing up at their doorstep. Whoever threw out the welcome mat, Charles would get them.

He looked over Moira's X-Ray that Margaret had just taken, brows furrowing a bit. "I don't like the fracture in the ribs, and the bleeding's a little worrysome. However, it seems you only have a fracture in your ankle and the patella, albiet not a nice one..."

He cleared his throat a bit. "..I'll get you prepped for surgery now."

Margaret nodded, as Charles came up. "Looks like you won't need that transfusion, after all," she said. "I shall leave you in Charles' very capable hands." She squeezed Moira's shoulder in what she hoped was a reassuring manner, before moving away to where he had indicated.

A nurse's work was never done.

"That wasn't what I meant by magick," Moira smiled slightly as Margaret left for the other people.

She turned her attention to the doctor she didn't know. Margaret said he was capable. Her senses would have told her just that had she not been so injured. They were on overdrive. She wasn't used to having to rely on her natural senses alone.

"I'm AB- if you needed to know," she told Charles.

He nodded once, a slight smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. "Thank you, Margaret." Ego, thy name is Winchester. But things with Charles usually did have a double meaning -- he really was appreciative of just how quickly the Major would always respond to any of the doctors at the 4077 ( ... )

Moira frowned. She was being put to sleep? It wasn't the pain but the lack of control that was worrying her. People died from routine surgeries...
