Agent Nevada had always been the prevayor of big explosions. She, in fact, had just been through her own, and the smear of blood down her cheek, and the smear of blood down the back of her right thigh (which she had yet to notice) were a testiment to that. She didn't do dangerous things unless money was involved.. or something was in it for her. That was why she'd simply walked past all the buildings, fallen and unfallen, and all of the people, yelling for help or helping, and had continued down the street. But when she'd seen the colorful smoke her interested had been peaked, and she was heading that way. After kicking aside a few Great Dane sized boulders (Tex was no weakling), she looked through the rumble with no small amount of amusement. "Anyone there?" Called out. She was hoping they were all dead. Then she could, you know, take anything she wanted.

Buffy had seen the smoke from a block away. It didn't look like anything she expected to be normal. Maybe some kind of pipeline exploded in the Earthquake? Coming up to the basement entrance with the storm doors blown off their hinges, the blonde peeled off the torn swetaer and pressed it firmly over her mouth and nose, making sure not to breath in any of the fumes ( ... )

Tex had glanced back at the blonde as she showed up, and both eyebrows lifted.. but a smirk curled her lips as the other woman declared that the man (Dr. Horrible, she remembered that. Doc H.) was a damsel in distress, so she nodded. Sure. She'd help out. Maybe she'd even get something out of it. So she followed the other woman inside and stood in the middle of the room, balancing on a piece of rubble and eyeing the sparking electric wire. That wasn't going to bode well. So she hopped down and used a booted foot to kick it away from the liquid and into a corner, clearing a path back towards the door ( ... )

Buffy was thankful to not have come across this mess alone. She knew she could have made her way in, but once she did, she saw just how unstable the basement was. Carefully making her way closer behind the other woman, Buffy watched as the wire was kicked from making any more harmful destruction to the building ( ... )
