He ran from where he'd been patrolling to where he thought the voice was. Well, he had both his ears, they worked just fine. He found the owner of said voice pretty quickly.
Buffy pivoted in her simple black gladiator sandals when she heard the unmistakable voice of, "Xander!" She grinned while rushing over to him with Slayer speed. Not even hesitating for a second, Buffy wrapped her arms around her one eyed Zeppo and squeezed. Of course making sure not to do it too tightly. She didn’t need to break her bestie into several pieces.
“You’re here. I mean, I knew you were here because a few people have mentioned it, but I mean in the sense of here. In the here now.” The blonde was yammering and pulling away from Xander when she was struck by a revelation. “Oh, no, Xand.” She groaned, “Just tell me that you didn’t cause the singing.” Thankfully the singing was on hold. At least for the present conversation. “No good ever comes from the singing.” Dancing came with it. A demon king looking for a bride came with it. Really bad songs came with it. And then so did death. Although, after going through all the other stages of the spell, death was then welcomed… partially.
"Buffy!" He said as she hugged him, as usual, just a little to tightly. Ahh, slayer strength.
And as usual Buffy didn't mince words in describing the their current singing problem.
"No, I didn't do it, I found the charm though. I don't know who did it, really it wasn't me this time, I swear it, I mean, last time people died and yeah, I mean, I'm not gonna do it again." Great, two minutes with Buffy and he's babbling like Willow again.
"You found the charm?" Looking to the sky, she let out a long sigh, "I guess the chances of finding the charm here of all places isn't too far of a stretch. I mean, after all, you're here and so am I. Not to mention Lorne, a friend of Spike and Angel's, is also here. Makes me think we're not all here by sheer coincidence." Buffy rubbed the bridge of her nose in fight of the tension building there. It really never ended, now did it?
"Xander, something happened again." Whether or not you did it, I have no idea." The Slayer reminded, "Where's the charm? Maybe we can call Giles and destroy it?" The urge to sing a tune was rising again and she used all of her strength to fight it back down. "I don't want to sing." The Slayer commanded herself, “I am not going to sing.”
“That’s it! I am going to break that charm and send it into the fires of Moredoors!” She growled, mispronouncing the famous pit fire Frodo tossed the one ring into.
