For the first time in her life, Clarice was the recipient of a paycheck! She couldn't help but be excited. Lulu had helped her figure out how to take it to the bank and open an account - even more exciting. She felt very grown-up having a checkbook and a debit card and everything, even if there wasn't a whole lot of money in the account yet. There was at least enough to do something for Moira and Lulu, to thank them for everything they'd done for her.
So she stole the grocery shopping list.
Now she was standing in the middle of the grocery store, arms folded along the handle of a half-filled cart. Steadfastly ignoring the stares of the other shoppers in her aisle, she looked from the list to the rows of products, wondering where the juice aisle was.
