Wes set his tricorder down in the middle of calibrating it and made his way from his work room to the side kitchen door, brightening when he saw Dok on the doorstep.

"Hey! Thanks for coming by." A second look at the man revealed that he seemed terribly ill. "Are you alright?" Wes put a hand on Dok's shoulder, suddenly knowing why he would look so worried. "I need to double check a few things but I'm at least 95% sure this is the town's fault."

Regardless, Wes moved into the living room with a sort of resigned smile, letting his hand drop. If Dok was worried about him, there was no getting around it.

"But, since there's no escaping it, what did you want to check out first?" Obediently, Wes sat on the edge of the couch as though it were an exam table.

"I...yeah..." Dok trailed off as he stepped in, though it would be anyone's guess as to what he was replying to. He didn't seem all too put together, which was more than just slightly odd for him. Even then, his hands were shaking, and he wished that he had that last cigarette that he'd passed up before coming over. It wasn't often that Dok smoked, but it was a last resort in times of dire stress, which would account for the expended filter that he'd put out in the sink before he left
