Moira had been in Ireland when she went to bed. Honest. Sure, she'd been planning a trip, but it was in the PLANNING stages. Not the waking up in a completely different bed stages. She definitely recognized the books around and there were pictures of her, too, though most of the people they were with were complete strangers. It wasn't like her to take pictures with complete strangers...well not to take them and display them anyway.
Picking up one picture, she noticed one of her and Ian. They looked different than she'd last remembered, her hair grown out a bit, but it was definitely the two of them.
Curious. Moira slipped on the shoes right beside her bed and opened the door, going to explore the house. A puppy ran up to her, barking slightly, as if wanting attention. Moira bent down to pick her up, but she ran away. Following the dog, Moira found something completely unexpected.
A purple girl. She tried really hard not to stare.
Clarice stopped in her tracks. Any response she might have thought of making got lodged in her throat.
Just one thing kept her from bolting in fright: this was the tall blonde from the photos. Clarice had just been looking at images of the two of them laughing together, the tall girl's arm around Clarice's shoulders. Like friends. She couldn't remember taking the pictures, and the blonde looked about as clueless as Clarice felt, but...
Her lips moved, but no sound came out. She tried again. "....um." It was barely audible. "H-hello..?" She gripped her hands together tightly behind her back, wanting to hide her face behind them. "Um. Is, is this..? I mean, a-are we... is this... Heaven?"
The girl looked positively terrified. Poor thing. "Heaven? Goddess, I certainly hope not. That'd mean I died between Ireland and wherever this is...I guess you don't know where we are either, then?"
Moira slowly felt out Clarice's aura. There was nothing threatening in it. Perhaps a power, but everything in the girl screamed benevolent. Benevolent and wildly frightened.
Clarice gave her head a tiny shake. Not Heaven. But then, where..? Her other notion came back to her. This girl did sound like the green-clad X-Man who'd been trying so hard to save them.
Standing her ground, she took a steadying breath. "Then... sorry... do you-- do you know Mr. Banshee? Mr..." What had Paige called him? "...ummmm, Cassidy?"
