Kimberly had overslept after her nap. Way overslept. As in, she'd meant to get up at noon...and woke up at quarter til three...with rough sketches of ad designs sticking to her face. Real nice, she thought as she organized her sketches and put them away, getting off the bed and heading into the bathroom to wash up. It was pretty clear that she was hungry, the way her stomach was growling and the fact that she thought maybe that was what had woken her to begin with. She'd stayed up all night working on the sketches, wanting to have a wide array of things to show Ned when she met with him again. That had been, in retrospect, sort of a dumb idea.

As hungry as Kimberly was, she reminded herself that she only wanted to snack on something to tide her over; she had plans with Felix and she wasn't going to ruin her appetite. How uncool would that be, anyway ( ... )

Narrowing her eyes with playful suspicion, Kimberly looked back at Jack. "Are you sure? Or are you tellin' stories?" she asked, pretending not to believe him. Her attention was brought back to the man again and she blushed slightly. "Right, Reid. I forgot he said he goes by that, yeah. Reid, yeah. He and Jack helped my friend Lulu and I build a snow fort," she said with a small smile as she took his hand and shook it ( ... )

Aaron generally wasn't one to shrug off coincidences like this, but reminding himself that there was no need to be suspicious, he nodded. "She's the only one of my team who hasn't managed to visit, so Jack misses her the most I think." 'Female authority figures in general.'
