The King, for his part, was having some trouble with a pair of blue jays. They were following him; he did not know why.

He never knew why.

As he crossed the courtyard, ducking and waving his arms about in the air in an attempt to dissuade them, he spied an unfamiliar shape in the window.

And whoever she was, there were birds flying around her head as well. Uncertain whether to be alarmed or confused or , Uther picked up his pace and approached the window.

"You there!" he said loudly. "Who are you, and what is your business here?"

Giselle looked out the window, startled, and the bluebirds dropped their ends of the ribbon and hovered uncertainly, not sure if they should stay or go. Giselle gave them reassuring looks.

"Why, sir, I live here," Giselle said. "I am Giselle of Andalasia." She made her best curtsey. "May I ask who you are?"

OOC: That should be "alarmed or confused or relieved to see such an apparition" or something like that...

Uther's brow worked itself through a variety of expressions. In the end, it returned to confusion. He bowed a little, inclining a the shoulders. "Giselle of Andalasia, I am Uther Pendragon, King of Camelot, and lord of this place. How long have you been living here?"

Giselle let out a startled sqyeak. "Oh! Sire!" She curtseyed again, and deeper. "I've been living here...a few weeks? I believe I've met your son, if his name is Prince Arthur."
