Jack was adorable.

Ianto was breezing through the door after a day of puttering around his cafe and was pondering taking a bit of time off to spend it with the Captain. He had missed Jack sorely while he was away and it was good to be back, sleeping along side Jack again. ...Among other things.

When he came through the door and pushed it closed behind him, a delicious scent accosted him and Ianto had to pause to sniff. After a moment, he was following his nose and making appreciative noises. It seemed someone had cooked.

Might not have been Jack, but the effort was appreciated greatly. "It smells wonderful in here."

Ianto stepped into the dining room just as Jack was finishing plating the food. Fettuccine alfredo with chicken and broccoli and a bottle of fine Italian wine was breathing.

He smiled over at Ianto, wiping his hands on a napkin. "I thought we could use a nice dinner."

This was the romantic side of Captain Jack Harkness.

Spontaneous and romantic. It was .. nice. Ianto, smiling to himself, went over to the table and plucked up the wine to read the label. After a moment, he filled two glasses.

"I dare say we could. Is this a date, Captain?" He glanced over his shoulder, amused and feeling fine over this. And wanting to snog the hell out of Jack for it, too. He'd wait, though. It'll make things so much better.

"I think it's possible to say this is a date." Jack smiled and took one of the glasses of wine from Ianto. His fingers brushed over Ianto's for a brief moment. "There's wine, there food, so it falls under the heading of wining and dining."

After another sip, Jack set the glass down on the table and lifted both his hands to cup Ianto's cheeks. "It scares me how much I missed you, Ianto."
