The house had been too empty with only Jack rambling about. The threat of Grey's return had him on edge. But having Ianto there, seemed to take some of the edge off. It felt more like home. It was the little things. The smell of coffee brewing and the way everything was folded just right. The smell of Ianto's shampoo.
Jack had been married before. But he wasn't going to think along those lines.
The dining room table had been set with good plates, silverware and candles. Jack was setting up dinner. It was takeaway, of course, but the boxes had been hidden in the bin. The Italian meal had been expertly prepared and delivered to the house. All Jack had to do was plate it up. And wait for Ianto to come home.
