Lulu was all set for playing basketball with Richie and whoever else showed up. She was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. Perfect for the weather and easy enough to move around in. At least something would be on her side for the game since height would definitely not. She left her bag with her phone and other stuff on the bench.
"Hi, Richie!" she grinned brightly, ponytail swishing.
Richie had on shorts too--long shorts, as short shorts didn't really exist in the 50s. After a long struggle with himself, he had managed to wear a T-shirt, though he still felt a little as if he were in his underwear. T-shirts weren't worn as the only shirt in the time he'd come from.
"Hi, Lulu!" Richie said, smiling at the sight of her hairstyle. All the girls wore ponytails in the 50s. "Your hair looks nice."
She grinned at him. "Thanks. I figured it's good for the basketball. I mean. I haven't played much except in gym class." And though Lulu wasn't completely un-athletic, she tended to be picked toward the end in gym class. It was some sort of combination of her snarkiness and short stature.
"Sure," Richie said. "It's funny--practically every girl wears her hair like that back home." He smiled warmly when Lulu said she hadn't played much. "That's okay. Anything you don't remember, we can go over again. Or we can just play Horse."
