Dear Lulu,
Imagine my surprise when the front desk called me down to tell me I had a delivery... and it turns out to be one of the most brightly colored cakes I have ever seen. The look on the face of the concierge was pretty entertaining; he said it was like a character from a black-and-white movie picking up a technicolor cake.
Thank you very much for thinking of me! You are too much, in the most fantastic way. I am glad to have met you!
[[Clarice puts the cookie-flower box on her dresser, refusing to eat any of them for several days, until there's immediate danger of them being stale if she doesn't. Also, the next time she sees Lulu, she gives her a great big tearful hug.]]

Hey Lulu!
How can I say everything's not going well when a random giant fudge brownie just appeared out of nowhere?? Giant brownie = all's right with the world! Did you make this? It's delicious. Thank you! You should really go into business or something. That bakery could use the competition, they're probably getting lazy.

Thanks so much for the pies! I love apple pie, and yours are really, really good. What a neat surprise!
I saw these the other day and thought of you. They're not as great as what you gave me, but I hope you like them. Thanks again!
Your friend, Richie

We have a Bureau/Ministry/Whatever of Emergency Planning?
This isn't good, considering I'm the only doctor in town and I'm finding out by cookies. Which are pretty damn good by the way.

We do! It was instituted after the earthquake chaos when no one was around to help make sure everyone was okay since everyone clearly wasn't.
Thanks! Glad you enjoy them!!

GREAT, It's been around since the Earthquake.
Nice to know.
Do you have cookies at the Emergency planing meetings? Every Emergency Board has to have cookies.

No, it's after the earthquake. I sort of took it up since no one else seemed to be doing anything.
Ha. So funny.
