Who: Dairine and the LP Adam
What: Can I help you?
When: 30th Afternoon
Where: The Library. Again
Dairine had so far spent many of her waking hours at the library. Sure, the selection of books wasn't as impressive as New York, but she found it to be a good central base of operations. Sitting at the reception desk with Spot comfortably open in her lap, Dairine found herself largely uninterrupted to research.
What she found was even more confusing than she'd initially believed.
Strange earthquakes that seemed to stop at the town's perimeter. Widespread events that caused people to sing and dance uncontrollably, or turn into children, or -- more recently -- shift genders. It reminded her, in ways, of the way wizardry leaked in Kit's house. Over the course of a year, her sister's partner, Kit, had his house go mad. His dog began creating pocket universes, his television developed a nasty temper, and his older sister started doing intergalactic home shopping.
But this...this was weird.
Dairine stood and stretched her arms far over her head, taking a break from the computer to look around the library. It was empty, for a Thursday afternoon. She only saw one man, businessman, looked like, at one of the public computers. Stretching for another moment, Dairine walked over to him.
"You need help with anything?"
