Who: Everyone in town? Or everyone who wants to come :) What: St. Patty's Day Party!! Where: Ara! When: March 17th, Evening ish? Rating: Um...Pg? Pg-13ish?
"I'm just providing the place, Sunshine! You're the fantastic party planner and got this all arranged! It looks fabulous!" He looked around his little (well, nicely sized) home and grinned amicably, red eyes returning to the perky blonde.
"You look stunning, by the way, Miss Lulu." He winked, "And I simply demand a dance with you later!" He'd hold her to it, as well!
Then the door opened and the festivities were beginning. "Gentle Kara!" Said by way of hello. "Have you thought anything about what I said?" About taking a job here at the bar.
Lulu laughed, grinning over at Lorne. "Thank you! And I will definitely dance with you! Whenever you want. I'm free all night!"
She noticed the woman entering Ara in a green shirt. "Well it's certainly the right holiday for that!" Lulu felt like she'd seen the girl around town even though they'd never really talked before.
Kara glanced over at the girl, she didn't know her, didn't know if she wanted to either.
"Yeah, lets do it, you me, we'll make a great team." Kara said to Lorne. "I just gotta get caught up on what names of drinks are on this planet. You got a book around here?"
Clarice had run home from work, walked Safina, changed clothes, and now she was finally heading over to the party. It was still too cold for the dress she'd chosen on its own, so she had her coat on when she came in the door, ducking inside with her usual lack of fanfare in the wake of the loud woman in the green shirt.
She didn't have a whole lot of experience with St. Patrick's Day, but she hoped getting drunk wasn't mandatory.
Following on the heels of the lavender-skinned girl, Chloe also deposited her coat just inside the door, glad to find the inside warm enough for the admittedly not-appropriate-for-March top she'd chosen.
She raised a hand in greeting to the group as she entered the club proper. "Drinking sounds good to me. Has the town provided us with leprechauns yet?" Because she wouldn't be too surprised if it did.
Clarice hugged Lulu back. Between Lulu and River, she was starting to get used to all these shows of affection, and even to anticipate them a little. They didn't catch her by surprise every single time anymore, at least.
"I'm sorry I'm late. I had to take Safina out after work and, anyway... but I'm here now. And you, Lulu, you look beautiful. Can I help with anything?"
Ian's lips twitched into a smothered smile as he entered the club. He wasn't into drinking all that much, but watching others was always good for a laugh. The fact that Moira might show up was enough incentive to go explore. He might even be able to gain a couple of free drinks just for the accent.
His green trainers had been a complete accident of wardrobe choice that morning.
These people were still unfamiliar to him, for such a small town, practically a village, he knew no one there.
Chloe spotted an unfamiliar face walking past, a young man. She really had become remarkably lax about keeping up with the new arrivals in town, but now seemed as good a time as any to start getting caught up. She changed direction to intercept. Casually.
"Hey." She smiled, offering a hand. "I don't know you, do I? I'm Chloe Sullivan."
"Nice to meet you, Chloe Sullivan." If his Irish accent was a bit thicker than usual, well, who could blame him? His accent wasn't just going to go away after two months. Moira's hadn't, and she'd been here for a year.
"Oh, so we do get leprechauns," Chloe teased, the sparkle of humor in her eyes taking any offensiveness from the words. She had a pretty large percentage of Irish blood herself, after all - it didn't get much more Irish than Gabe and Moira Sullivan, though the actual immigration was too many generations removed for her to feel any real connection to the country.
"Trust, and Aternaville shall provide. Happy St. Patrick's Day, Ian Delaney. It's nice to meet you too. Have you been in town long, or do you just stop by on this one night to bring shamrocks to all the good children of the world?"
Rose never thought she would need an excuse to drink until she was handed one, so to speak. It wasn't that she was unhappy, exactly, or angry, really, she wasn't, it was boredom. For a town with so many weird little problems, she'd grown bored with it awful fast. Winter had slowed things down, and she wasn't shocked about it. People were animals too. Animals hibernated, and in some ways, so did people.
Liking that bit of rationalization, Rose found herself entering the festivities with a relieved grin. Even if there was only two people, she wouldn't feel half as guilty about grabbing a drink and killing bits of her liver.
Lily walked into Ara, making a note to say hello to Lorne at some point.
First, however, were her plans to get completely and utterly smashed. The redhead needed alcohol and she needed it stat. She walked up to the bar, asking for something strong, not just the green beer they'd been giving out.
Looking around, she noticed not terribly many people that she knew. Several blondes, of various heights that she hadn't met. A purple girl that she recalled vaguely seeing around. A lone boy (probably no older than she), and Lorne.
Merlin, what was the purpose of St. Patty's day again? She was not sure as she downed her first glass. At least she was wearing green.
Richie'd heard something about a party, and since he wasn't quite sure how dress codes worked in this place yet, he dressed formally. When he got to the door, he looked in, eyes wide. This seemed like a very exciting party.
He made his way to a young woman who shared his hair color, more or less, trying to look as if he went to big social gatherings where he hardly knew anybody all the time. He picked up the nearest closed bottle, opened it, and took a sip, coughing delicately at the burn of alcohol. Maybe drinking something wasn't the best idea.
Richie turned to the redheaded woman, smiling. "Hi. I'm Richie. What's your name?"
Richie felt a twinge of uncertainty. Maybe Lily didn't want to meet anybody tonight...maybe she just wanted to be alone. But she did talk to him. That meant something, right?
He braved another sip of his drink, and made another face. "Yes, I am. It's nice to meet you, though, Lily. Have you been here long?"

Who was this, St. Patrick anyway? What in the gods name was a Saint?
"Hail Hail, I'm here and I wanna get DRUNK!"
Kara danced a merry little dance as she entered the establishment. Wearing a green shirt, which seemed to be important to the holiday somehow.

But Lulu's real trek was toward her purple friend. She grinned and gave her a hug. "You look fantastic, Clarice. I'm glad you came!!" she exclaimed.

She really needed to get out more often.

She blinked. Well it wasn't as if she'd known this person. He was younger than she was, and a redhead. Redhead solidarity or something, right?
"Lily," she replied with a short smile. "Are you new in town, Richie?"
